Our Story

Food Gala was incorporated in 2013 as a catering company. We thrive on innovation, creativity and flexibility in executing our promise to all our valued customers. The company now consists of three SBUs which are: The International Culinary School, Hospitality Logistics Solutions and Urban to Country Events

Since inception, we have created a conducive environment for staff to relax, unwind and rejuvenate during breaks, and assist in running activities and programmes that bring sense of belonging & peace of mind thereby guaranteeing high staff moral whilst company focus on their core business.

Meet The Food Gala Hospitality Team

Mr Lovemore Muchawa

OPERATIONS & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR. 
Lovemore Muchawa has vast experience in the hospitality industry with reputable organisations and worked in different capacities among them, apprenticeship trained chef, Executive chef, Food and beverages Manager, part time Lecturer, Part time exam assessor for food preparation, Deputy General Manager, Acting General Manager, Operations Manager. He has also acquired regional exposure in DRC, South Africa, Botswana and East Africa. The international foot print is in the United Arab Emirates, Dubai. Appointed position of Operations and Business development Manager in March 2016, Lovemore Muchawa has worked to build a robust formidable team running the Hospitality business models which include the culinary school, outside catering, conferencing and accommodation, restaurant, facilities management, canteen management and institutionalised training. Lovemore brings a wealth of leisure, tertiary education and commercial catering experience to the organisation and discharges through an astute leadership style and this has earned him a promotion to the position of Operations and Business Development Director. He is a holder of a class 1 chef, certificate in Supervision, Executive Diploma in General Management and Bachelor of commerce honors degree in marketing management (undergrad)

Mr Tinashe Mutepfe

ICT OFFICER
Tinashe Mutepfe joined Food Gala Hospitality Group from a business management, teaching and IT background where he worked in IT industry as well as the education sector where he was able to strengthen his knowledge. He is responsible for all ICT services, Graphics Designing and Digital Marketing of Food Gala Hospitality Group. He is a graduate of Business Studies and Computing Science Degree (UZ) among other qualifications. He is a strong believer for team shared values, hardwork, good customer service and continuous improvement.

Miss Belinda Mtisi

HEAD OF CURRICULUN DEVELOPMENT
Meet Chef Belinda Mtisi the Head of Curriculum Development for International Culinary School. She is also the  production and training Chef for Food Gala Hospitality Group. Chef Belinda Mtisi  is a class 1 certified Chef in the Hospitality industry. French Delf 1 certificate holder which makes her culinary lessons well blended to an international standard. Experienced in training new students without a hospitality background in both theory and practical, commandeering production for different types of events as well as Cake production and icing. Chef Belinda is also proficient in Guest Relations as well as Food Costing. She is a proud Ambassador for Emergency Response as well as HACCP protocols at Food Gala Hospitality Group.
